Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction services and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool and Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. Our services are currently provided from 124 sites across the North West.

Our ambition is to deliver perfect care and become the world’s leading organisation in physical, mental health, addiction and learning disabilities. We set our own standards and goals for improvements in care rather than aiming to meet minimum standards set by other organisations. Our values are those of: Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm and Support. We are the first Trust in the UK to publicly commit and develop a policy to have zero suicides among people in our care by 2020.

We work closely with service users, carers and partner organisations, we've been able to make real improvements to our diverse range of services, from health and social care, right through to high secure provision. This passion to improve has been recognised by the CQC who have recently rated us “Good” overall and “Outstanding” for being well led.

Come and meet the team that you could be joining!

Are you mid way through your 2nd year or currently a  3rd year student who would like to get your new career off to the best start in the NHS, with either a mental health, learning disability or physical health focus? Then look no further.

It`s an exciting time at Mersey Care as we continue to develop the highest quality services, supported by cutting edge innovation and research.

We are holding a recruitment event on the 20th March 2020 at a Liverpool city centre venue to be confirmed. Once there you can talk to our dedicated staff, learn about what we do, undertake suitability discussions and potentially get offered a permanent job.

If this is of interest to you, submit your application now for a guaranteed interview and assessment on the day of the event.

The Trust is recruiting staff nurses to vacancies across all of our services. We can offer careers in mental health, physical health and learning disability nursing in our local, secure and specialist learning disabilities divisions, as well as adult nursing careers in our community services division, across Liverpool and Sefton.

As a newly qualified nurse in our Trust, you can expect to benefit from a comprehensive preceptorship programme, as well as access to our Mersey Care Attract programme offering development opportunities for staff at all levels. You will receive the support of a registered nurse who will supervise you throughout your preceptorship period.

If you are successful in your application, you can work on the Bank as a Band 3 Nursing Assistant in the interim until you qualify.

Don`t delay submit your application to guarantee your place at the event.
