Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction services and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool and Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. We are looking to recruit 10 Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our ‘Hospital at Night Team’
Due to new investment Local Services Division are seeking interest from Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our recently recruited band 6 night unit coordinators to provide support across all inpatient wards within the division.
The Band 5 positions (and unit coordinators) are additional posts to the wards established budgets and have been created to ensure there is more Registered Nurse support out of hours.
Applicants are required to have completed their preceptorship and be able to demonstrate a passion for person centred care in line with Trust values. Being flexible to meet the needs of the service is a key element to the role. Applicants also need to have the personal qualities to form effective working relationships with a variety of different staff groups.
Successful applicants are expected to mobilise across the division as a requirement of the role, induction and supervision will be given. Negotiated rotational periods on days to ensure well-being, training and learning needs are maintained in line with best practice will be facilitated.
