Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction services and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool and Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. Rowan View represents a step change in care for service users, preparing them for life afterwards. It will deliver innovative treatments to improve recovery times for people with mental health and learning disabilities.
We are looking for experienced nursing assistants who can demonstrate compassion and empathy to our patients, improving the quality of care services within a Secure/Forensic Environment.
Our Secure & Specialist Learning Disability Division is responsible for specialised secure mental health services, in low, medium and high secure settings for service users with a primary classification of mental illness, and personality disorders. Working across the Secure Division as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high standards of care and support to a challenging group of service users. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to gain invaluable experience in forensic environments.
Along with some experience of dealing with patients with mental health conditions, we ask that you are flexible in your approach to work, eager to learn, have an open attitude to change and want to make a real difference to our patients in challenging secure environments.
